Guest Chef Series at Market Place Cafe with Gyros and Gyro Bowls


I’m chef Demetrios I’m with Kontos Foods.
I’m their corporate executive chef. Kontos foods is a manufacturer of hand
stretched ethnic flatbread we’re proud to have been invited to do a
little demonstration and provide a slightly different lunch experience for
the individuals that work here as well as visit here. Today we made gyro
sandwiches we also made a salad bowl topped with gyro but what we did was we
took our tandoori naan, we sliced it in long triangles, lined the platter, added
our salad, it was a classic Greek salad with lettuce, tomato, onions, kalamata
olives, cucumbers, with a classic Greek sauce and topped that with feta cheese.
We then added a couple of pieces of gyro meat and then added the classic tzatziki
sauce. Food is my passion food is my life I enjoy cooking and watching the faces
of individuals once they have eaten my meal and have enjoyed it.
