Influencer marketing: being clear with your audience


As an influencer you need to look at
your posts from your audience’s perspective. When you choose to endorse a product or service you need to ask yourself will my followers immediately
know that I’ve been paid or given a free gift or incentivised in any other way to
post this. Could this information be stated more clearly or made more
prominent? It’s not enough just to state your relationship with a brand on your
profile page and it’s not enough to bury it at the bottom of your post,
hidden in a huge list of hashtags. It needs to appear clearly at the very
front or top of every post.
