Hi, my name is Izza Gureshi and I’m the membership coordinator for ABA. As the Marketplace 2018 approaches, appointment requests will soon open on September 28th. I’m going to be sharing with you 10 key tips to ensure a smooth and efficient appointment requesting process. Tip number one: keep the important dates and deadlines in mind. On September 21st, the research database opens. On September 28th, the appointment requests opens. On January 5th, the appointment requests closes. On January 17th, you will receive your appointment schedule. On January 26th, Marketplace begins. And appointments will be held from January 28th through January 30th. Tip number two: Before you search for another company, research your own company first. Make sure to correct any mistakes on your company profile. Tip number three: make your company more appealing by adding a company description geared towards other companies instead of customers. Tip number four: Keep your search broad. The more specific you make your search criteria, the fewer results you will receive. Tip number five: If you notice that a company is missing information that you think is important, visit their website. Tip number six: To better your chances of receiving appointments with your requested companies request the maximum of 75 appointments. Tip number seven: If you have multiple appointment taking delegates, make sure each delegate requests different companies. Tip number eight: Prioritize your requests. It does make a difference. Tip number nine: Check the system often to view any changes to requests. Companies will be able to edit their appointment requests up until January 5th. Tip number ten: Don’t stress. You have plenty of time to request appointments. Those are my ten tips for officially requesting for appointments.
