ONLINE COACHING BUSINESS PLAN

that you’ll get notified when new episodes drop, every Wednesday. All about helping you go from passion to profits
in your coaching business. Hi there, coach. I’m Carolin Soldo and I specialize in helping
new and experienced coaches build and scale successful coaching businesses. Today I want to talk to you about how to build
a business plan for your new business. Be sure to stay until the end, because I’m
also going to give you a business plan template that you can download and start planning for
your profitable coaching business immediately. Having a business plan is important, because
it will guide you through the planning process, and it will ensure that no stone is left unturned
when you’re planning for a successful future in your business. It will allow you to look at all the aspects
in your business, and actually guide you towards reaching your income goals. Part Number One is your target market. We want to know who we’re doing business with,
and your target market and your ideal client is the foundation of everything. It will determine the programs you create,
it will drive your marketing initiatives, it will drive your message, it will drive
your pricing. It will literally impact all the different
areas within your plan, so having clarity on who you’re targeting and who that ideal
client actually is, is essential as your first step in your planning process. You want to look at your client demographics,
most importantly. Their age, their gender, their lifestyles,
their income, maybe their education. The second part in your coaching business
plan is going to be your product suite. As a coach, you might be offering one or many
different products, including one-to-one coaching where you work with clients on a very intimate
level. You may also be offering group programs, where
you bring a small group of clients together, and you actually coach them in a group format
in group sessions. Lastly, you want to think about upsells and
downsells. Upsells are programs that are available for
clients to graduate into. In our case, for example, our upsell product
is called the Powerhouse Coach, where we select a small group of clients from our main flagship
program, Brand Your Passions, and we offer them an opportunity to upgrade into the Powerhouse
Coach and continue their journey with us. In a downsell, you may be removing one-to-one
coaching sessions, you may only offer it as a self-study course. You may shorten the period of time that the
client works with you, so that you can offer the downsell at a lower price. The third part in your coaching business plan
is your launch schedule. This is a calendar that will guide certain
activities in your business, such as when programs open and close. Along with your launch dates, then, you can
be planning out the steps you need to take to successfully launch your programs. For example, in order for you to launch a
new program, you may create a sales page. The sales page needs to be written, the sales
page needs to be designed, and set up on your website. Let’s talk about the fourth part in your coaching
business plan, and that is your marketing plan. Now that you know what your launch schedule
looks like, and you know all the products you want to bring to market or continue to
open and close doors for, you can then go and create your marketing plan. There are certain time frames you should be
paying attention to. Along with your marketing plan, and the actual
time frames, you want to think about the marketing tools that you’ll be using to launch our your
product. The fifth part in your coaching business plan
is your sales and income forecast. So, I recommend you look at, first of all,
your program pricing, how many clients you would like to enroll in each of the programs
we talked about, and then what your monthly income will be as a result of all of this. In the beginning, remember, you created a
launch schedule, so you know when specific programs and events will be happening. That will allow you, now, to actually project
and forecast how many clients you will be enrolling in these programs throughout the
year, and what your monthly income will look like as a result of that. Part number six in your coaching business
plan is hiring and staffing. You’re not going to be able to reach your
goals without a team. So, I want you to think about who those key
players will be, who those A players will be, in your business, that will help you reach
your goals this year. By the way, I’m curious, what do you struggle
with the most? Comment below the video and let me know what
your biggest struggles are right now, and I’ll make a video specifically on that topic
just for you. Congrats, coach. Now you’re ready to create your coaching business

  1. You are changing my life. Thank you for yet another brilliant video! <3 I'm struggling with finding a way to mash all my passions together. It will end up being a pretty unique niche/solution and I get excited thinking about it, but it's not really how I should merge it. Have you ever had a client with multiple passions who just could not choose between them?

  2. Thank you for watching! Don't forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe so you never miss an episode! Comment below with your current coaching business struggles – I would love to make a video just for you!

  3. Thank you so much for all the valuable information you give! I have never been more excited to start my coaching business (stil really new at this) and I can't wait for what this year will bring 😀

  4. Hi Carolin, Thanks for the videos! 🙂 I have changed my niche and found LOTS of people that are interested in my program, but they don't have money to buy. I am only offering 1-1 coaching right now. Perhaps I could do a group coaching program to get started and offer it a lower price? This will give me more variety and access to build my business and my brand.

  5. my struggle(s) lol is right now , Narrowing down that niche to a corner so small , that only a microscope can see! 🙂 the thing is I am REALLY good at a few things, which makes it a little bit hard HELP! 🙂

  6. Awesome! I'm having to tweak my target audience and/or downsell my flagship. I tend to be thorough and a deep thinking so when I created my program, I created the upsell. Thanks Carolin!

  7. My biggest struggle is fear that what I have to offer is not something people would want or need. Or that I many not be good enough to be a coach.

  8. Hello Carolin , I would like to say thank you for this opportunity for information about a business plan. thanks again peace and blessings to you and your family Sheila

  9. Link to request access to the business plan template is not working as of a couple of minutes ago. Love the video. As others have said, the hardest part for me is narrowing a target market/niche to 1. what is the transformation/outcome I offer? 2. to whom? 3. are those people looking for that change/transformation/outcome? 4. can they pay? Since I'm a life and health coach with a very full toolkit, how do I package everything logically, in tiered programs (upsells, downsells, 1-1, groups), and what do I pull out to be my one signature talk that brings them in initially? Happy to receive feedback from the group!

  10. I have been coaching for a few months now as a Parenting Coach. I just took the test and it said my niche is Parenting Coach. Lol. It took me all of last year to figure that out and in just a few minutes the test stated the same. Thanks

  11. Very thorough and well thought out. #3 the launch schedule sets up for #5 the sales forecast. Appreciate all the resources <3
