I’m Cindy Nguyen. I’m studying Advertising
and Integrated Marketing Communications here at Pace University and Lubin School
of Business. Lubin has the business and Lubin has the
fashion that I need to make a career out of fashion marketing and succeed in New
York City. Lubin actually has a great developed fashion marketing minor that
is new here at Pace. We have a great team in place to really educate students
about how fashion is as an industry and as a business. I was able to squeeze 15
internships within 3 years so far at Pace just by the sheer ability to work
with faculty on campus to work around my schedules. So some of the companies that
I’ve interned for in the past are Fendi, Valentino, Prada, YSL, Seventeen magazine,
Glamour magazine, Christian Louboutin, and I’ve actually interned for a few
startups: InternQueen.com, MakeOverly.com Kensie clothing, a contemporary brand at
Macy’s. I was offered the opportunity to start a fashion club on campus.
Profashionals holds networking events throughout the year. We have a large
event called Dress for Success where we offer students the opportunity to
network and meet industry insiders. I’ve invited representatives from Vogue
magazine, Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Allure magazine, Cosmo, and Seventeen magazine. The school is great for students who are really ambitious as well as proactive.
They offer a lot of resources for students to really excel in their own
path. Because of what Pace offers I’m able to have that full package that
employers are seeking for after graduation.
