I knew that I wanted to live somewhere
different. You need to look outside the box sometimes. Generation UK is the way that I got thinking about China in the first place. China is quickly becoming the future. Generation UK program offered a stable
route for me to go there and try it for myself. I spent one year studying the
Chinese language. Once you’ve made that initial contact with China you get much
more comfortable with how to navigate it. It is big and it’s different and it’s
mysterious but those are also the things that make it interesting. China has this way of pulling you back again and again. I decided to go back again for a second year. Going to China has really forged me into the person that I am today. A lot of the experiences have helped me on a daily basis. I think Generation UK is a fantastic bridge that’s opened up a lot more
opportunities for me and I feel comfortable going back and making my own way now.
